As the days get shorter and the nights draw in, the importance of having a good set of lights on your bike cannot be emphasised enough - to both see and be seen!
We have split the site into front lights, rear lights, light sets and accessories. We have also written some useful guides about bike lights, and we hope you enjoy reading them.
Mountain Bike Lights
As the nights draw in we all get the urge to rip up those local trails with the added buzz that pitch black riding gives you. Flying around familiar trails, in the dark, is possibly the best type of biking. You need to be sharp, fit and alert. Over the past few years lights have jumped in performance. Battery life is up to 3 hours on average for a decent set, and the reach of the light is much improved. Rear lights are not so important, however if you ride on country lanes, you still need to make sure lights are clean and can be seen.
Road Bike / Commuting Lights
Possibly the most important category is lights for commuting. Rear lights, are so important, as drivers with often misted windows need all the help they can get – consider mounting two or three read led lights. Front lights, well, try one powerful beam plus a flasher.
